Every follicle on your body runs its own independent clock. At any moment only a fraction of the follicles in a given area are in the phase where laser energy can disable them. That single biological fact is the entire reason a series exists.

Anagen, the active growth phase: The hair shaft is attached to the dermal papilla and is densely packed with melanin. This is the only phase in which laser hair reduction disables the follicle. Roughly 20 to 30 percent of follicles in a given area are in anagen at any moment, which is why a single session cannot clear an area.
