Whether you’re looking to reduce acne scars, smooth fine lines, or enhance skin elasticity, our customized microneedling sessions deliver noticeable results with minimal downtime.
What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a non-invasive skin treatment that involves using tiny, sterile needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. These controlled injuries trigger the body’s natural healing response, boosting collagen and elastin production for firmer, smoother, and more youthful skin. If you’re looking for a combination of microneedling and hair removal solutions, we also offer laser hair removal to help achieve a complete skincare transformation.
How Does Microneedling Work?
- Micro-injuries stimulate collagen: The tiny punctures signal the skin to repair itself, increasing collagen and elastin production.
- Improves skin texture and tone: Reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation.
- Enhances product absorption: Boosts the effectiveness of serums and skincare treatments by allowing deeper penetration into the skin.
- Reduces pore size: Helps to minimize enlarged pores by tightening the skin and regulating oil production.
- Speeds up skin cell turnover: Encourages faster healing and regeneration, leading to a brighter and more even complexion.

Our Microneedling Treatments in Pembroke Pines
Collagen Stimulation
Collagen is the foundation of youthful, firm skin. Microneedling naturally encourages collagen production, helping to tighten sagging skin, reduce fine lines, and restore elasticity. Studies show that microneedling can lead to a 137% increase in collagen levels over time.
Wrinkle Reduction
Wrinkles and fine lines develop due to collagen loss and repeated facial expressions. Microneedling helps to smooth out wrinkles by accelerating skin regeneration, revealing a firmer, more youthful complexion. Regular treatments can reduce wrinkles by up to 45% in just three months.
Scar Reduction
Microneedling is highly effective in reducing acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks. The controlled injury process breaks down scar tissue and encourages new, healthy skin cell turnover, gradually improving skin texture. Clinical studies suggest that microneedling reduces acne scars by 50-70% after a series of treatments.
For targeted scar treatment, consider pairing microneedling with our acne facial.
PRP Microneedling (Vampire Facial)
For enhanced results, we offer PRP Microneedling, also known as the Vampire Facial. This treatment combines microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP), derived from your own blood, to accelerate healing and maximize skin rejuvenation. PRP contains growth factors that stimulate faster collagen production and tissue repair, making it a great option for anti-aging and scar reduction.

Frequently Asked Questions
Microneedling works by using tiny, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. This helps reduce wrinkles, scars, and hyperpigmentation, improving overall skin texture and elasticity. At Meljestic Spa in Cooper City, we tailor each microneedling session to your unique skin needs for optimal results.
Yes! Microneedling is safe for all skin types and tones, making it a great option for anyone looking to rejuvenate their skin. Our estheticians at Meljestic Spa carefully assess your skin to ensure you receive the best treatment for your specific concerns.
Most clients notice an improvement after one session, but for optimal results, 3-6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart are recommended. The number of treatments varies based on your skin type and concerns, which we’ll discuss during your consultation.
Microneedling causes minimal discomfort, as a numbing cream is applied beforehand. After treatment, you may experience mild redness and sensitivity for 24-48 hours, similar to a light sunburn. However, most clients can resume normal activities the next day.
Absolutely! Microneedling is one of the most effective treatments for acne scars, dark spots, and hyperpigmentation. It helps to break down scar tissue and stimulate new skin cell turnover, gradually improving skin tone and texture.
PRP microneedling, also known as the Vampire Facial, combines microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from your own blood to accelerate healing and enhance collagen production. This treatment offers faster results and deeper skin rejuvenation, making it a great option for those seeking anti-aging and scar-reducing benefits.
After microneedling, avoid sun exposure, sweating, makeup, and harsh skincare products for at least 24-48 hours. Using a gentle cleanser, hydrating serum, and sunscreen will help protect and heal your skin more effectively. Our estheticians will provide a customized aftercare plan to maximize results.
Pricing varies based on treatment area and add-ons like PRP. For detailed pricing and special offers, contact us for a consultation.

Microneedling Pricing
Microneedling is priced as a course, because a single session is not what produces the result — the collagen response builds across a series.
| Microneedling package — 3 sessions | $550 |
| Glow Up package with PRP | $800 |
| Glow Up package | $500 |
| Single session | Confirmed at consultation |
Pricing shown is current at the time of publishing and may change. Package pricing, any current offers, and the plan for your skin are confirmed with you at your consultation before anything is booked.
How that compares
Published 2025–2026 pricing guides put standard professional microneedling at roughly $200–$700 per session, with most clinics landing around $300–$400, and esthetician-run day spas at $200–$350. A three-session package at $550 works out well below that range — and you are treated by the owner rather than by whoever is on shift.
Microneedling with PRP
PRP — platelet-rich plasma — is drawn from a small sample of your own blood, separated, and applied into the micro-channels while they are open. Your own growth factors go back into your skin, which speeds healing and strengthens the collagen response. It is the treatment clients most often name in reviews here.
If you would rather not do a blood draw, a growth-factor serum gives a similar boost without one. Melissa will talk you through both.
Is microneedling right for you?
It works well for:
- Acne scarring — particularly rolling and indented scars, which fill gradually as new collagen forms
- Fine lines and early laxity — softening lines by rebuilding structure rather than freezing movement
- Large pores and rough texture
- Stretch marks on the stomach, hips and thighs
- Uneven tone, sun spots and post-inflammatory pigmentation
It is a strong option for deeper skin tones. Microneedling uses no heat, so it carries a much lower risk of triggering hyperpigmentation than heat-based laser resurfacing — which matters a great deal in South Florida.
There is no upper age limit. Collagen production slows from the mid-twenties, so skin in its forties, fifties and beyond often has the most to gain. Mature skin simply builds collagen more slowly, so expect a longer series rather than a different result.
It is not for everyone. Microneedling is not suitable during active acne breakouts, with an active cold sore, during pregnancy, or if you have a history of keloid scarring. If it is not right for you, Melissa will say so at the consultation rather than sell you a package.
Microneedling compared with other treatments
Against Botox: they do different jobs. Botox relaxes the muscle that creates expression lines. Microneedling rebuilds the skin itself — texture, scarring, pore size and tone. Many people use both.
Against laser resurfacing: laser is more aggressive and can deliver faster change on deep damage, but it uses heat and carries more downtime and more pigment risk on deeper skin tones. Microneedling is gentler, safer across the Fitzpatrick range, and needs more sessions.
Against a chemical peel: a peel resurfaces the top layers, microneedling works deeper into the dermis. For surface dullness a peel may be enough; for indented scarring it will not be.
What to expect
Most concerns need three to six sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart. Expect redness like a mild sunburn for 24–48 hours, then some dryness and light flaking around day three. Collagen keeps building for weeks after each visit, so the result at week six is not the result at week one. With a completed series and occasional maintenance, improvements hold for a year or more.
